The aim of the Project; a Facility Centre for the Fisher folk in Chilaw was;
to Empower the fishing community and thereby power the fishing industry, by
>Improving the living conditions of the Fishing community- to give them due priority.
>Educating them so they would grow with the changing times.
>Training them so they would be more productive.
